Our first stop on the journey is Ancient Xi’an! What brings us here you might ask? Our upcoming resort collection was inspired by travel and we started our expedition on The Silk Road.
The Silk Road was the travel route between the far East Countries specifically China to the southern African countries like Zimbabwe. Did you know there is now a Discovery Times Square exhibition in New York City featuring the terracotta warriors found over 2,000 years ago in a tomb near Xi’an?
Each life-size warrior from this underground army was created with different heights, facial features, and clothing! Can you imagine 8,000 looks in a collection that took 11 years to create? We’re grabbing our favorite summer dress and heading over to catch an amazing piece of history from ancient China!
